Yesterday I asked ChatGPT free version to generate a dummy URL with UTMs for me and after its response is showed me an ad. Like this:
I got curious if ads are open for everybody and the same chat talled me that OpenAi Ads Beta is already available and an account can be set up for testing at least.
Account setup
So I went to https://ads.openai.com and started the process of registration. It started with email and there was an issue there so I went with using Google account for signing up. Then it asked for an URL of my landing page to pull some data and to create the first ad for me. It did pull the first image of that landing , generated english language header and subheader based on my russian text on the page. It seems that image needs to be a square. Mine is not so it does not look great and OpenAI failed to realise it – probably they try to save tokens on this step.
As you see on top it wants to do a business verification. I am a sole entrepreneur and probably should be registering as INDIVIDUAL to avoid lots of documents uploads and because tax office still does not care for my expenses. But switching to Individual prompted for phone verification and verification code could not be sent due to a failure. It is indeed a beta. but I will try to get another account and start with INDIVIDUAL as a type of account from the start.
