In my online school for the first 2 years i have been using webinar model to introduce our method of voice development and sell courses. The most difficult part of that is to get leads to sign up for notifications and make them not loose the email and eventually show up at the webinar.
At some point I noticed that no matter how good I write my email copy still people either loose emails or do not open them.
So i thought to use Telegram chatbots since opening rate for messages on Telegram messenger app was much much higher than for email. I used SendPulse platform to create flows to deliver webinar link and send preparation messages. And it worked – I got much higher turn up rate.
Communication
Another issue is to be in touch with leads after webinar is over. And having them in Telegram chatbot helps because they are much likely to answer on Telegram than on eMail and i am not limited by 24 hour window as it is on Meta platforms.
It took me a while to figure out how to link my CRM with SendPulse and Telegram chatbot but after I switched from LMS platform to WordPress with an LMS plugin i could eventually link them good – now all my clients have their chatbot ID saved in their user meta and I can send them automated messages: purhcase confirmations, payment reminders, tripwire nudges – it saves a lot of time and makes this tidious work fun!
BaseFNL
I found out that SendPulse has an ID for every bot subscriber. And any paid SendPulse plan includes API – so combining that API and subvscriber ID i could establish link to communicate with users. BaseFNL has become the plugin that grabs that “tg_id” when clients come to my site via ADD TO CART link from Telegram chatbot flow and that id is saved to user meta. It happens only after user has granted right for the data to be saved.
And that allows to send a custom confirmation on purchase into Telegram chatbot where users started their journey.
It works, of course, best when leads first enter into chatbot and get that ID assigned. But there are strategies to get them to sign up to a telegram chatbot later on – for example to deliver there a free bonus material. And then after grab the ID.
